30 year old doc, New Delhi, India presently at Maitri, Antarctica - the
remotest Indian outpost. That is my introduction in brief. Fate has brought
me 12000 km from home, 4000 km from civilization to an icy wonderland far
removed from this world, where the primary concern of an individual is
survival - a place that is physically cut off from the rest of the world by
an ocean that is frozen for 1100 km, where gale force winds are the norm,
and even the sun deserts us during the dark winter months.
This blog makes me the only Indian to blog from Antarctica during the
winters. This blog is presently about my experiences in Antarctica and about
Antarctica till I stumble across new things.
